16:9 TV per SCART anggeschlossen und kann folgendes Symptom beobachten

 

Ich habe bei meinem DP558 festgestellt das das Widescreen Signal von DVDs nicht richtig ausgewertet wird.

Sobald ich eine DVD einlege wird mein TV auf WS umgeschaltet, auch wenn die DVD 4:3 Inhalt hat.

 

Ich habe 2 TVs, Philips 28pw6518 und Toshiba 28W33G

und folgende 4:3 DVDs

- Full Metal Jacket 7321921211546

- Last Man Standing 4012050134181

- Wargames 5050070001839

- Wild things (bonus from a magazine)

- Dracula Tot aber Glücklich (Dracula dead and loving it) 4040316722483

- Bon Jovi Live from London 505082101645

- Bon Jovi this left feels right (main feature is 16:9 but the menus are in 4:3 and get stretched) 602498618639

 

ebenso ist jede DVD betroffen bei der die Bonusfeatures in 4:3 sind.

 

Ich stehe dazu schon mit KiSS in Verbindung, daher müßte ich wissen wer den selben Effekt beobachtet und eventuell auch obige Infos liefern kann.

Bei MPC gibts noch 'nen Thread dazu (bin jetzt aber zu faul zum Suchen :-) ). Da wird erklärt, dass diese Schaltspannung am Scartstecker nicht anliegt.

ja, ich bräuchte hier nur etwas mehr feedback um es KiSS näher zu bringen, lt kiss besteht kein Problem.

Alles alte Hüte, aber KiSS kümmert sich (wie immer) nicht drum :-(

Theoretically, SCART standard has dedicated pin (number "8") where information about screen size should be given. Voltage 0-2V stands “this SCRAT is not active”, voltage 5-9V stands “4:3 format”, 9,5-12V stands “16: 9 format”. Theoretically, but don’t know the unit with such standard fully implemented. So that means, that both KISS and Your TV-set must have fully implemented such facility for proper automatic switching between modes.

I checked any combination of KISS setup (ie 16: 9 or 4:3) with AVI formats (16: 9 and 4:3 formats). Does not matter on combination, voltage was still the same - 11,22V. That means, KISS always want to switch display in to 4:3 mode.

I was wondering if this software could have control on the ouput Scart. I mean, when playing anamorphic video the Kiss doesn't adjust the Scart voltage on PIN 8 so that the TV set automatically switches to anamorphic mode (AKA wide-screen or others depending on the TV brand).

 

The scart is controlled by the file: khwl.o file. If I change this file then other problems will happened because the mediaplayer will address this file. But if however a skilled programmer can find out a way to directly address the khwl.o file (by examining the offsetcodes) then it might be possible.

 

PS: kann mal bitte jemand den Smiley für 16 zu 9 deaktivieren - da kommt sonst immer 16:9
